Target Treat

Every time Ryder and I go to Target just the two of us we get some Starbucks. Its usually pretty rare that it is just me and him, so the treat is always long overdue. Dont worry, we always get the chiparoo drink, no coffee.

I'm always amazed at how different he is when Lucy isn't around. He seems so grown up and I really love taking him places. There was a time when he would grate on my last nerve, he is a huge drama king sometimes.

We are going to the beach next week and he keeps asking me if we are going tomorrow. Everyday he asks is it tomorrow. Sometimes he says, "I'll eat my dinner, and then we will go to the beach?" I wish bud. But no, we have to wait until next Friday to pull out for our much needed vacation.
Leading up to our trip I am trying to purge my house. For two reasons, 1) it is the size of a match box, so there is no room for over-indulgence in toys and other crap. 2) We are trying to get our house ready to sell.

I just want to come back from the beach with a completely clean, uncluttered home. I found this online last night on Oh Dee Doh, and I think it looks like an awesome system. It's called "The 7 Day Toy Cure".

If you have never went to Oh Dee Doh you should. I love that site. Such awesome kids design ideas.

Oh, one last thought. I fixed our dishwasher last night! While I was at Target I bought this:

Dishwasher Cleaner! It worked! Who knew you had to clean your dishwasher every now and then?! I know, I should know this. But we did pay someone to come out and fix it and he didnt do a very good job. He also didnt tell me about this secret weapon. Oh well. Im just happy that "Taco Night" is not still on my dishes this morning :)

Vintage Tuesday

Vintage things are awesome. That's all you need to know. The fabrics are so pretty, the graphics are amazing, and the toys, well they are the best things ever. And since I love hunting for vintage prizes I thought I would share my finds with you :)

This little duck parade is awesome. There is one at the antique mall in town, and every time I go in there I have to play with them. This etsy shop has them for a great price. It would be so cute in a little boy's nursery dont you think?

These are the best things ever. A set of 5 tin toy bowls. Ryder and I could play kitchen. I would love to pretend to eat something out of these. OR maybe I really would eat out of them. Go here to snatch them up!

Oh buddy. This little dress is the cutest. If only my Lucy was a size 3-6 months still. She might could rock it as a shirt though. This shop has some great stuff.

Check out these little swim shorts from the same shop. Its rare that I find vintage boy stuff I like on etsy. For some reason a lot of it is rompers with train and bear appliques. Ugh. No jon jons or rompers on boys in this family. But these little shorts are awesome. Love that pocket.
That's all the stuff I have to show you today. Hey, if you know of any great vintage shops I should check out, tell me!

Have a great day, I think my fam is headed to the zoo :)

Laundry day

pic from here

Lucy's birthday party is over with, so that means back to real life chores. No more time can be wasted trying to find the perfect cupcake liners. I have been attacking the laundry monster ALL. DAY. LONG. I generally don't mind laundry. The clothes come out all warm and smell amazing. Thank you Bounce dryer bar. If you dont use one of those, you need to go buy one today, they are great. I also really love folding the clothes and putting them away. Sometimes my love for Pinterest overpowers my love of laundry though :)

Tonight I get to tackle the dish monster. Our stupid dishwasher has not been  working for 6 months. We even had someone come out and "fix" it for $80 two months ago. Still isn't working. One of the most frustrating things in the world is to open the dishwasher and see last nights spaghetti sauce still hanging out with all of your dishes. And next to scrubbing the toilet bowl, my 2nd most hated chore is washing dishes by hand. When George and I first got married I washed dishes by hand for about 9 months. VOLUNTARILY. We had a perfectly good dishwasher. But for some crazy reason I thought I was being an awesome wife since I didnt require the dishwasher's help. HAHAHAHA!!! Oh man. 2 kids, and about 50 sippy cups and plastic spoons later I now have a brain and have welcomed the dishwasher on my team. If only it would work.
